VIDEO: Burgess Owens To Six Patriots Players Boycotting White House Visit: ’Policies of Trump is good for Black America’

Burgess Owens calls out 6 NFL players on the Patriots Skipping White House Visit
“I Would Love To Spend Time & Explain To Them Why The Policies of Trump is Good For Black America.”

Fox News Reports:
There are now six New England Patriots players who have said they will not take part in the traditional visit to the White House in an apparent protest to President Donald Trump.

Tight end Martellus Bennett, running back LeGarrette Blount, linebacker Dont’a Hightower, defensive tackle Alan Branch, defensive end Chris Long and defensive back Devin McCourty all plan to skip the visit commemorating the Patriots’ historic Super Bowl victory over the Atlanta Falcons.

Two former NFL players joined Pete Hegseth on “Fox & Friends Weekend” to discuss their take on these players’ decisions to boycott the visit.

“It was a great victory. It was a team effort. They worked very, very hard to make that happen. I think they should celebrate as a team. They should take their honors as a team. They should wear their rings or wear their jackets as a team,” said Rev. Michel Faulkner, a former New York Jets player who is running as a Republican in the 2017 race for New York City mayor.

“To not go to the White House because you disagree with the president, I think is certainly their right but it’s ill-advised. We’ve become a nation of protesters, and especially in these areas, we need to give our president a chance.”

Burgess Owens, who played 10 years in the league with the Jets and the Oakland Raiders, agrees with the reverend.

“The fact that these guys are engaged and politically involved in this process, I applaud that,” Owens said. “I totally disagree with…these players’ view. At the end of the day, it’s all about having your right to voice your opinion the way you want to.

“What I would do is I would love to spend time with these guys and explain to them why the policies of a Trump is [sic] good for black America versus the rhetoric we’re hearing from the left.”
